Tips and advice
Roads conditions are generally very good, but many roads are narrow and winding. Driving conditions may be different from what you are used to - especially driving on the left side of the road.
If you are visiting in winter, ice and snow may make driving more difficult. Some areas such as Cradle Mountain can be cut off completely.
If you are hiring a car and want to go to Bruny Island, check with the rental company first, as some do not allow it.
